A dress from mommy

On Friday, Claire and I found some wonderful goodies that I managed to upcylce into a beautiful dress that very same day! We came home with two old yellow valences, some black fabric with different colored flowers, some BEAUTIFUL antique lace and three yellow buttons! That afternoon, I started on a pretty sun dress with some wide pleated straps. I spent about 5 hours on this babe but I think it was worth it.  The top fabric has a blue appearance both on camera and off. It reminds me a lot of Snow White.

I just love this photo! I spent much of my child hood next to my mom watching her sew. The serger was always my favorite too.

"Helping" Mom sew.

This is adorable :) And I'm absolutely amazed that you can come up with stuff like that! I can't do anything unless someone else designs it and I have the pattern in front of me. Claire is super cute in it!
